Fourth day of Woodruff trial Tuesday

By Brad Kellar

Hunt County – Today marks the fourth day of testimony in the trial of Brandon Dale Woodruff. Michelle Lee, the mother of Brandon Woodruff's former girlfriend, testified Monday that a handgun was discovered missing from her Rockwall home the day before Woodruff's parents were found murdered. Lee said the ammunition which fit the .45-caliber revolver was also found to have been taken from the holster of the weapon after Woodruff had visited the residence. Although the gun has never been found, prosecutors have theorized it was used in the killings of Dennis and Norma Woodruff. Brandon Woodruff has pleaded not guilty to murder of his parents. Dennis Woodruff was shot and repeatedly stabbed and Norma Woodruff was shot multiple times in Oct., 2005.
