Greenville – It couldn't have come at a better time; admission to the Greenville swimming pool Friday is free.
The second of two free Summer of Safety activities is scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon Friday at the Ja-Lu Pool. The event is sponsored by the Greenville Police Department and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Swimming Friday is free to all area children and snacks are provided.
The free event comes at a time when temperatures are peaking at around 100 degrees.
