Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for parts of the region.

Also, Van Zandt County is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 a.m. to noon. That advisory area includes locations areas along and south of a line from Lampasas and Waco to Corsicana and Canton. A wintry mix of freezing rain and drizzle with snow may result in some light ice accumulations on roadways. The precipitation will transition to a rain/snow mix this afternoon. Elsewhere, light snow could accumulate up to 1/2 inch. Regardless of additional snowfall, some icy patches will linger, particularly along the I-20 corridor.
