Funeral services pending for retired professor

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – Funeral services are pending for Dr. Jack Ingram, professor emeritus of business administration and management information systems at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The 79-year-old Ingram was struck and killed Tuesday while crossing the roadway near the intersection of Live Oak and Prim Street. He was pronounced dead a short time later after being transported to the hospital.

The driver has been identified as 45-year-old Donna Trejo, of Wolfe City, who told police that her vision was slight impaired by the sun, causing the accident. She received a citation for failure to have insurance.

An autopsy has been requested. Commerce Police have stated that foul play is not a factor in the accident.
