Grammy-nominated songstress from Austin Eliza Gilkyson is no stranger to music, cutting her first demos as a child for her father Terry Gilkyson. Her folk and Americana compositions have been recorded by names like Bob Geldof and Roseanne Cash, and she's been inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame.

Gilkyson is currently part of the Three Women And The Truth tour, which features fellow singer-songwriters Gretchen Peters and Mary Gauther sharing a stage and their songs. The 3 are playing in Ft. Worth on Friday, April 22, and Eliza spent some time speaking with Matt Meinke during some downtime in her hometown.

More about Eliza, and the Three Women And The Truth Tour, can be found on her website.

Notably Texan is heard weekdays from Noon - 3pm on KETR.
