Greenville – Greenville ISD school board members met Saturday to hear preliminary candidates for the open superintendent position for Greenville Schools. 52 candidates from eight states were presented by the search firm Arrow Education Services. Six of the candidates that most closely match specific criteria outlined by the school board will be interviewed. The interviews for those candidates are expected to be conducted February 9th through 11th.
The eventual new superintendent will replace William Smith, who served the Greenville ISD for 35 years.
