The general manager of the Greenville Municipal Auditorium, Kevin Banks, says with 70 percent of the required funds raised in the "numb butts" campaign, the new seats for the auditorium will be ordered next week.  They'll replace the original seats in the more-than-75-year-old venue.  Shows coming up in the GMA include Grammy-winning singer Mike Farris as part of the Greenville Entertainment Series tonight (Friday, March 11); "Celtic Fire," an Irish-music program with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Thursday night, March 17; legendary country-music singer Tanya Tucker, part of the Kenneth Threadgill Series, Friday night, March 18; and Broadway performer Alton Fitzgerald White with "Disney My Way," Saturday night, March 26.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
