Dallas Comic Con's main annual event continues to grow in size and fun for the fans. After quickly out-growing the Irving Convention Center, Fan Expo Dallas took over the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas for the second year, expanding in square footage, celebrity guests, exhibitors, and utilizing the center's 9,800 seat arena for the most popular Q&A sessions (which this year included Princess Leia herself- Carrie Fisher, the X-Files' Gillian Anderson, Nathan Fillion & Alan Tudyk of Firefly fame, and Marvel Comics' icon Stan Lee).
Expanded space and improved crowd flow allowed for far more events and guests than in years past. Some of the new attractions this year included a free old-school arcade, a kid's cosplay room with costumes to try on and toys to play with, select classic film screenings by the Alamo Drafthouse, sketch duels with famous artists, technical sessions for costumers, make up artists, prop designers, and artists, and even Sci-Fi Speed Dating.
Dallas Comic Con still utilizes the Irving Convention Center for smaller events throughout the year, with Fan Days up next October 16-18.
