Gov. Perry to attend TEA Party in Sulphur Springs

Sulphur Springs – Governor Rick Perry and Congressman Ralph Hall are scheduled to speak in Sulphur Springs Friday at a TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party Rally.

The rally will begin at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Hopkins County Courthouse. Also speaking at the event will be Hopkins County Judge Cletis Milsap, Hopkins County GOP Chairman Erwin A. Cain and C. J. Duffey of Color Blind Ministries.

Also Friday in Greenville, the Greenville Tea Party is scheduled to conduct a demonstration from 4:30 pm. To 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Wesley Street and Kari Lane.

Those wishing to demonstrate are encouraged to bring signs that focus on liberty and line up with current issues.

Over 2000 TEA Parties were held throughout the nation on Tax Day this year. Between 500,000 to 1 million Americans are said to have shown to express their disapproval over what they called the misuse of tax dollars.
