Greenville accident leaves teen seriously injured

Greenville – A pedestrian-vehicle accident in Greenville Tuesday seriously injures a local teenager.

The 14-year-old male victim was injured after being struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the service road along Interstate 30. The teen was transported by helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas following the accident, which occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The name of the victim was not released, and condition unknown at last report. Portions of the South Service Road in the 6000 block of I-30 were shut down for a short while to tend to the victim.
