The Greenville Police Department is preparing to name its first corporals in its history next month, and with that announcement will come room for one or more entry level officers on the local squad.
A police officer examination is scheduled later this month, and the first corporal’s exam is scheduled in early February. The rank of corporal will join the existing ranks of patrol officers, sergeants, and lieutenants, between the ranks of patrol officer and sergeant.
