Greenville announces free ebook library

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – The W. Walworth Harrison Public Library has launched a new eLibrary through the Northeast
Texas Digital Consortium. This site may be accessed by visiting the library eBook webpage at
www.ci.greenville.tx.us/eBooks.

This site contains current best sellers in both eBook and audio-book formats. These titles can be downloaded to a personal computer and then transferred to a portable eReader or audio device that is DRM compatible. A complete list of compatible devices can be found on the Northeast Texas Digital Consortium homepage.

This new service is free to all W. Walworth Harrison Public Library card holders using their
library card and a PIN number. Two software downloads are required to access both the eBooks
and audio books (Overdrive Console and Adobe Digital Editions). Both applications are free
and available at the consortium site. Simply click the "Quick Start Guide" on the left column of the consortium homepage and patrons may start enjoying eBooks and audio books anywhere at anytime.

For more information contact the library staff at 903-457-2992.
