Greenville City Judge resigns
and Community Development Director
might leave

By Brad Kellar

Greenville, TX –

The City of Greenville is in the market for a new municipal judge. Toby Wilkinson's resignation was accepted by the Greenville City Council Monday night. That followed an executive session between Wilkinson and the Council. Wilkinson was reappointed by the Council in December 2006 to a two-year contract, which is not scheduled to expire until January 2009. Wilkinson was first appointed as municipal judge in 2005 and earns $32,462.56 per year, plus benefits. A statement issued after the meeting indicated the Council would take steps soon to name an interim Municipal Court Judge until a permanent
appointment can be made. Former Hunt County Justice of the Peace
Gloria Peters serves as the City of Greenville Assistant Municipal Court Judge.

And Greenville may be needing a new Community Development Director. Philip Sanders is in the running to become City Manager in Anna, located north of McKinney.
