Greenville crime rate increases

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Crime continues to increase in Greenville. There were only four additional major crimes in Greenville during September than were recorded locally in August, but that was enough to push the crime rate up 1.8 percent from month to month. Through the end of September, there had been 1,853 major crimes reported locally, an increase of 8.8 percent from the first nine months of 2007.
