Greenville establishes adopt-a-park program
By Scott Harvey
Greenville – The City of Greenville has established a citywide Adopt-A-Park Program that encourages everyone to take an active role in helping to improve and maintain the City's park system.
In a release issued by the City, citizens are asked to adopt a park to help keep clean, attractive and well maintained, consistent with what the City's Parks and Recreation Department has worked to provide.
Adopting a park can take many forms including general clean-up, painting, weeding, or observing and reporting maintenance issues, among others. Some of the parks available for adoption include Arnold, Graham, Oak Creek, Warren and Greenville SportsPark.
More information on how you or your organization can take part in the program is available by contacting the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department at 903-457-2994.
