Greenville to gain second hotel from existing one

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – The City of Greenville should gain a second hotel from one hotel tonight. The unusual plan by the City's planning and zoning commission would create a new hotel, by creating two hotels on the site where one currently stands. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. during the meeting concerning a request to approve a final plat, or layout, for the Greenville Inn addition, which would be a replat of where the Knight's Inn is located along Interstate 30 West. The proposed replat would split the existing motel, which is in two buildings, into separate properties, which would be operated as two separate hotel businesses.
