Greenville – The City of Greenville will host a reception for new Fire Chief Doug Caison on Monday afternoon.
Caison was confirmed as Greenville's newest fire chief at the City Council meeting last Tuesday.
He began his career with the Greenville Fire Department in 1995 as a firefighter. He moved through the ranks serving as an Engineer and Lieutenant before taking the position of Deputy Chief. Caison succeeds former Fire Chief Raul Reyes Jr., who resigned in October 2008. Caison had served as Interim Fire Chief since Reyes' departure.
The public is invited to attend the reception, which takes place Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the conference room at City Hall, 2821 Washington Street.
