Greenville – The City of Greenville will honor a national hero next month. The Greenville City Council intends Wednesday to approve an agreement with a group of local organizations are planning a two-day celebration in King's honor. The Greenville Branch of the NAACP, alongside the Corporation for Cultural Diversity, the Greenville Independent School District and the Greenville Ministerial Alliance are among the agencies partnering to host the annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, scheduled for Jan. 18 and 19. The event will include a variety of activities at both St. John Missionary Baptist Church and Municipal Auditorium.
