Greenville – The City of Greenville announced Tuesday that it has launched a social media presence on the Internet.
Citizens can now become a fan of the City of Greenville on Facebook and follow the city on Twitter. The sites can be accessed through the City's website at www.ci.greenville.tx.us. A fan page for the Library is expected to be launched in the next few weeks.
The Facebook sites will be used to provide information on important topics and events. The Twitter page will be used to get information out quickly to residents about street closures, utility service interruptions, emergency notifications as well as reminders of programs and events.
