Greenville – The City of Greenville is looking to stretch another road. Bids are being sought for the extension of Center Point Lane, from where the street dead ends in the 7100 block next to Home Depot to Roy Warren Parkway.
It is anticipated that Center Point Lane will be a focus of major economic development during the next few years, and the extension of the road will assist with traffic flow.
Sealed bids for the project are being accepted through 3 p.m. March 30.
A Comfort Suites hotel is currently under construction along roadway, and a Fairfield Inn and Suites is planned for the east side of the road. The extension may also help bring cars into the proposed Greenville Towne Center.
