Greenville man appointed attorney in shooting case

Greenville – A Greenville man is appointed an attorney as he faces multiple charges in an alleged shooting last weekend.

19-year-old Francisco Javier Davila is also seeking a reduction in his $6.5 million total bond on four counts of attempted capital murder and one count of deadly conduct.

Davila was transported to the Hunt County Jail Tuesday from Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he was receiving from wounds received in an alleged gun battle with Greenville Police.

He was appointed an attorney Wednesday. No additional hearings were immediately scheduled.
