31-year-old Michael Shahan of Greenville was arrested last Thursday for online solicitation of a minor, according to Sherman-based KXII-TV. Authorities say Shahan thought we has talking to a juvenile when he, in fact, was talking to a sheriff's deputy, the report said.
When Shahan was arrested, law enforcement officials seized his phone where images of child pornography were found, authorities said. Shahan was released after posting a $160,000 dollar bond, they said.
Shahan is an employee of Columbia Advisory Group, a private company which provides internet technology services to Texas A&M University-Commerce.
