Greenville man re-indicted for murder
Greenville – A Greenville man has been indicted a second time for murder.
Andreas Tearri Morris was re-indicted by the Hunt County grand jury Friday. Morris had pleaded not guilty in connection with the July 2007 death in Cordarien Marquel Kelly, of Greenville. Jury selection was scheduled for last Monday but was canceled after only 11 of the more than 60 witnesses prosecutors had planned to testify appeared. Hunt County District Attorney Noble D. Walker Jr. said at the time his office would seek to indict Morris again, should the witnesses which failed to show be found again.
On July 1, 2007, the Greenville Police Department received a call of a shooting victim in the 1800 block of Wellington Street. Officers found the 18-year-old Kelly, who had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
