Greenville to Move Forward with Splash Kingdom

Splash Kingdom

GREENVILLE - After weeks of talks about a Hawaiian Falls adventure park in Greenville, the city council has chosen to negotiate an agreement with Splash Kingdom Waterpark.

Mayor Steve Reid says the decision to pursue the Canton-based company is because they are willing to contribute more toward the establishment of the park.

Board of Development President Greg Sims will now work to establish a memorandum of understanding with Splash Kingdom, who is looking to construct their fourth waterpark locally. They currently have operations in Canton and Shreveport, Louisiana, with a third park under construction in Hudson Oaks, Texas.

Sims told the council Tuesday there are still lots of details to work out with Splash Kingdom, including where the park will be located.
