Greenville murder trial reset

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A trial date in a Greenville murder case dating back to last summer has been reset.

Joshua William Lay has claimed he was acting in self defense when he shot and killed Darryl McDwayne Fegget, of Greenville, last August.

He's pleaded not guilty to one count of murder. Lay had been scheduled for trial starting next week, but during a hearing Tuesday the trial was reset for June 14.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex along Robin Road in Greenville.
