Greenville police warn of a con-game

Local residents are being alerted that a group of suspects are operating an age-old confidence game in Greenville.

Authorities say victims are approached by an individual who claims to have either found a large sum of money or who needs assistance in getting a large sum of money into a local bank from a foreign country.

Anyone who is approached by someone making these types of claims is being warned not to participate in the activity, but to contact law enforcement.
