Greenville – A power plant is generating more than just electricity in Greenville. Residents of the Creek Crossing Neighborhood in southwest Greenville continue to protest an electric substation under construction. Some people have raised objections over the proximity of the substation to their neighborhood, as well as the passage of commercial vehicles going to and from the location. The plant, which is owned by the Texas Municipal Power Agency (TMPA) and GEUS is the subject of a special City Council workshop session tonight.
