Greenville seeks new finance director

Greenville – The City of Greenville is seeking a new finance director.

Stephen Compton, who resigned earlier this month as the Director of Administrative Services for the City of Greenville, has been hired as the new finance director in Soledad, Calif. Compton is expected to assume the position April 20.

Compton was hired in 2007 after serving as City Administrator and Utility Manager for Richland Center, Wisconsin since January 2005. At the time, Compton became Greenville's third finance director in less than three years.

The City of Greenville has begun advertising for a new finance director. Starting salary is approximately $90,000, depending on qualifications.
