Greenville shooting victim hospitalized, suspect at large

GREENVILLE - An unidentified person was in critical condition Monday afternoon after he was reportedly shot early that morning in the 4000 block of Pepperport Drive in Greenville.

A release by the city notes that police were called to the scene at approximately 1:07 a.m. responding to a call of a man with a gun. Upon arrival, officials noticed that a person had been shot. He was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center. No other victims were at the residence.

Witnesses have been interviewed and a suspect identified. As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made in the case.
