Greenville to take hit from two mock tornadoes

GREENVILLE - The Hunt County Firefighters Association will conduct tests Thursday focusing on tornado disaster drills.

The Hunt Memorial Hospital District will operate a drill from the Greenville hospital, while firefighters and amateur radio operators will setup outside of the Texas Army National Guard Headquarters along Jack Finney Boulevard.

The Hunt County Fairgrounds is where the mock tornado will hit, as participants deal with multiple casualties. Chris Vaughn with the Sabine Valley Amateur Radio Association says the drill will involve testing communications back and forth between the disaster site, the emergency trailer and the Emergency Operations Center in Commerce.
