Greenville teen charged in Friday shooting

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A Greenville teenager has been jailed in connection to a Friday shooting in the city.

17-year-old Bryan Thomas McConley has been charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he was identified as the one who shot at a residence on Roberts Street. McConley has since been assigned an attorney and is also seeking a reduction in his $15,000 bond.

No one was injured inside the home that was the reported target of the shooting, although two adults and four children were inside at the time. Reports indicate the shooting may have been connected to a disturbance earlier that day during the graduation ceremony for the New Horizons Learning Center.

No additional hearings in the case were immediately scheduled.
