Greenville – The Greenville city budget has been unveiled. As it currently stands, the city's proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year includes a slight decrease in the property tax rate and a slight increase in pay for city employees.
City Manager Steve Alexander has proposed a $66.1 million budget, funded by a property tax rate of 70.5 cents per $100 valuation, down from the current 71 cents.
Council is scheduled to conduct two public hearings prior to adoption of the budget late next month.
