The Grin-N-Bearit Show Presents: "What's Cooking On The Airwaves In Marla"

Grin-N-Bearit Facebook

This month, we return to the mythical, sleepy town of Marla, Texas circa 1950. Strange phenomenon are  wreaking havoc with the power and radio signals, and renowned scientist Dr. Gebhart Van Brandt has gone missing!

With bizarre occurrences once again causing a tizzy amongst the Marla population, it's up to Sherriff Moody Justice, Commander William Crisp and the rest of our heroes to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Greenville's Grin-N-Bearit write  scripts and record their songs, which KETR helps to produce into a retro homage to classic radio dramas. The Grin-N-Bearit Show is heard on the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm during Notably Texan, with a rebroadcast the following Saturday at 7.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
