Hopkins County – A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday for the Highway 11 Extension Project in Hopkins County. Officials from Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, and TxDoT were all in attendance. The extension project will expand Highway 11 from Walmart in Sulphur Springs south to Highway 19.
Officials say the expanded road should allow faster emergency response time and ease traffic congestion in Sulphur Springs.
