Greenville – A local urban renewal group will take its message to the streets this weekend.
Members of the Citizens Urban Renewal Effort (C.U.R.E.) plan to conduct a walk-through Saturday morning of the initial area downtown which has been targeted for redevelopment.
Group Founder Byron Taylor says the walk is designed to give those already involved an up close look at what is needed, as well as to drum up support from those living and working in the area.
The group will be meeting at Better Days Antiques, 2402 Lee Street at 11 a.m. Saturday to start the walk through the five-block deep and 11-block wide section.
