Greenville – An attorney has been appointed for a Greenville woman, charged with criminally negligent homicide in connection to an infant's death in 2008.
29-year-old Christina Rene Rodriguez was arrested last Thursday on the charge. During a Tuesday hearing a judge reset the formal arraignment for Thursday.
The indictment alleges Rodriguez was negligent in causing the death of two-month old Jealyka Xavia Salguero of Greenville, by holding the child while falling asleep on a water bed after she, "consumed more than the prescribed dose of prescription medication."
