The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Heat Advisory until 7 p.m. Wednesday. Counties included are: Grayson, Fannin, Lamar and Delta including the cities of Sherman, Denison, Bonham, Paris and Cooper.
Temperatures are expected to reach triple digits and heat index values near 105 degrees.
Overexertion in this heat can likely lead to dehydration and could result in heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Take extra precautions working outdoors and drink plenty of water. Be sure to check on persons with health problems and elderly and never leave young children or pets in a vehicle.
Heat Stroke is an emergency, call 911 immediately.
