High absenteeism closes Fannin County school

By Scott Harvey

Savoy – A high absentee rate has forced another area school to close its doors, this time in Fannin County.

Reports indicate roughly 20 percent of students at the Savoy ISD were out sick Tuesday. Classes for today and tomorrow have been cancelled. The school will reopen Friday.

Homecoming festivities were to be held this week, but have instead been postponed until January during basketball season.
