High speed chase ends with crash, arrest


– A Duncanville man has been arrested after leading authorities on a high speed chase through Rains and Hunt counties Monday morning.

25-year-old Barry Steven Jones was first spotted running through a barbed wire fence just south of Lone Oak. He then proceeded toward Point where State Troopers gave chase at speeds of over 100 mph through county roads and pastures. Jones would eventually crash his vehicle in the garage doors of a residence.

Jones was already on parole for an undisclosed crime. In addition the parole violation, he was charged with felony evading arrest, DWI and criminal mischief.
