SULPHUR SPRINGS - Five Sulphur Springs families can now look forward to new homes after having their old dilapidated properties demolished and removed by the city.
The Home Grant Program replaces rundown homes of low and moderate income families. The program comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development which has supported families throughout the region over the years.
Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell reported this week that two of the applicant’s homes are now dried-in, and the others are about to be under construction. The contractor has until July to complete the homes.
