Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball player Kanani Marshal was selected as a third-team honoree on the Division II Sports Information Directors All-America Team. The senior guard is the first-ever All-American in school history for women's basketball.
Marshal set the NCAA single-season record with 145 three pointers made. In addition, she also set three single-game records, five single-season records and seven career marks.
Marshal and the Lions established a total of 40 new school records on their way to the most successful season in school history, culminating with a spot in the Elite Eight.
