The former Hopkins County Jail, located on Rosemont Street in Sulphur Springs, is quickly being demolished in light of the new Jail located adjacent and recently opened and dedicated on December 1.

The new Jail held its groundbreaking in August and will hold a capacity of 192 including law enforcement offices to serve the needs of Hopkins County. It designed by DRG Architects of San Antonio, and construction was done by SEDALCO Construction in Fort Worth.
