COMO - Como-Pickton Superintendent Sandra Billodeau will retire upon the conclusion of the current school year.
Billodeau was named to the position in 2007. She informed the board of her intentions last month. School trustees are scheduled to meet Monday night to consider hiring the Texas Association of School Boards search team to help in finding a replacement.
The resignation announcement is the second for Hopkins County in recent weeks, as Sulphur Springs ISD Superintendent Patsy Bolton also intends to retire in the spring.
