A Greenville residence was destroyed in an early Wednesday morning fire.
City of Greenville Public Relations Liasion Autumn Barton said fire department units responded to the one-story home at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday to the fire at 1900 Stanford Street.
“It was fully involved when they arrived,” Barton said, adding the residence was unoccupied when the fire started. “It was under control by 3:10 a.m.”
Greenville Fire Marshal Greg McDonald examined the scene later in the day Wednesday.
“The cause of the fire is not yet determined,” Barton said. “They are still investigating.”
