House fire claims Cooper home

One Cooper woman and two youths lost their home in a blaze early Monday morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Monday morning, the Cooper Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 601 West Fort Worth St. in Cooper. Despite battling flames for over three hours, firemen were unable to save two bedroom home

Lisa Smith and two teenaged children were identified as the home's residents.

Smith was slightly burned while ensuring all were evacuated, officials said.
