Human trafficking suspect facing more trouble

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A California man already charged with human trafficking is now facing more problems. Prosecutors are seeking to seize the assets of Victor Manuel Hernandez, arrested last month in connection with the alleged crime. The Hunt County District Attorney's office has filed a suit seeking control of Hernandez's car, more than $1,000 cash and a cell phone obtained during the arrest. The incident on Dec. 11 involved Hernandez transporting several illegal aliens in the back of his vehicle. Persecutors allege the cash and property were used or gained by Hernandez in the commission of a felony. Hernandez told officers with the Greenville Police Department he was paid $1,100 to transport eight individuals to Little Rock, Arkansas.
