Collin County and Rockwall County are now the only two counties in the area with burn bans in effect.
The Hunt County Commissioners Court voted Tuesday to lift the ban on outdoor burning which had been in place since August 12.
David Alexander with the Hunt County Fire Marshal's Office recommended the commissioners remove the ban, as the county is no longer listed under "severe" or "extreme" drought conditions and the danger of grass fires has been reduced due to recent rains, with the chance of more rain this weekend.
