The speaker at the Commerce Memorial Day program is Chris Plenkenpol. A West Point graduate who was a company commander in Iraq, Plenkenpol is currently a student at Dallas Theological Seminary and the author of a book describing his firsthand account of the Iraq war and his unshakable faith. The Commerce observance is Monday evening at 6 in Rosemound Cemetery. In case of rain the service will be held at First Baptist Church.
