Hunt County – Hunt County Sheriff Don Anderson has won a temporary injunction against the company looking to cancel his bond. The decision came yesterday and eliminates the possibility of Anderson being removed from office for not having the bond. The injunction will remain in place until trial to determine is the insurer and bond company should be required to make a payment to the county from Anderson's bond.
The company was planning to repay the county for a deficit uncovered in the inmate trust fund during a 2003 investigation and was also going to cancel Anderson's bond at the time until Anderson filed a restraining order against the company.
