Hunt County Sheriff's bond still under scrutiny

By Kevin Jefferies

Greenville – A hearing scheduled for Tuesday regarding Hunt County Sheriff Don Anderson's bond has been rescheduled. The hearing was set as Anderson seeks an injunction against the insurance provider that carries his personal bond. The bond is required by state law for Anderson to be in office.

An earlier hearing was also held before the Hunt County Commissioner's Court Monday to determine if Anderson had sufficient bond or any bond at all. However, so many people showed to the meeting either supporting Anderson or wanting to find out if the sheriff had the bond, that the hearing could not be conducted. It will be rescheduled for a larger location at a later date.
